Tyrone takes up residence at The Eden Project

Wednesday, 23 July 2014 21:18

Tyrone is spending the summer season down in beautiful Cornwall at the amazing Eden Project as part of the 'Dinosaurs Unleashed' experience. This includes activities like the detailed and immersive 'Crater of the Tyrant King', the Dig Pit where you can unearth a dinosaur skeleton, Expolrer Field Stations and searching for the escaped dinosaur. It opened this week and Tyrone is in his element lurking in the vegitation and giving intrepid explorers the runaround - if you're in the Westcountry over the holidays it's well worth a visit.

Unable to resist the limelight as usual he also made a surprise appearance at one of the live 'Eden Sessions' last week, when he stormed the stage as indie superstars Elbow were about to begin a gig, very rock 'n roll!

The aliens wasted no time in taking charge and putting the nervous celebs through their paces...

Tyrone gives Sean Bean a run for his money!

Tuesday, 05 November 2013 10:48

Tyrone had the time of his life maurading around the set of a commercial for Fairy/Make A Wish Foundation with movie star Sean Bean last month. As if acting with the A-lister wasn't enough, Tyrone also has red laser beams shooting from his eyes as he chases him through the forest, what more could a dinosaur ask for?!

Alien pitch invasion!

Monday, 04 November 2013 14:20

Saturday 26th October was a big day for Rusty and Barry, as they ran onto the pitch at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium in the Rugby League World Cup's opening ceremony. Being sports fans themselves they could barely contain their excitement at participating in the high- octane show, which was one of the biggest the sport has ever staged and was televised live - what a gig!

"I am the One and Only...."

Saturday, 21 September 2013 09:36

Life has been all a bit rock and roll for Otto lately as he's been working with '90's pop singer/songwriter Chesney Hawkes.

They've teamed to up to promote new credit solution company My Mate. We love the results of the photo shoot below, and what a great excuse for a nostalgic blast of Chesney's biggest hit, The One and Only, enjoy!

Albert is a museum piece

Thursday, 04 July 2013 00:00

In contrast to Otto's playful performance at IMATS at the end of June (see bleow), Albert put in a much quieter appearance as part of the Museum. He struck a dignified pose in the same group as fellow Millennium Live character HP5 (along with some bright blue aliens) for passers by to admire, and admire they did in their droves!

Otto educates the audience at IMATS

Tuesday, 02 July 2013 00:00

The International Make-Up Artist Trade Show (IMATS) was held at Olympia at the end of June. Amongst the many classes and demonstrations on the event's schedule was an educator's class by Kate Walshe and Karen Spencer of Millennium FX , called 'Secrets of Creature Suits'. This gave an insight into how creature suits are designed and constructed, and how the specialist performers who wear them go about their physically demanding work.

One of the subjects of this class was our friendly, resident Organutan Otto, who was a subject of intrigue for the large audience! He was very relaxed in the limelight whilst being talked about as the picture below left shows, and then couldn't resist an energetic frolick through the crowd!
